Registered Psychologist

I am a Registered Psychologist in private practice for almost 30 years. With precision, compassion, humour, and a fierce loyalty to your drive for health, I am here to help you become all you are meant to be. I will help you clarify what you want and foster your hope and persistence to attain your deepest desires. You deserve to be your authentic self, free of self-sabotage and self-doubt. You have the seeds of your own healing and growth within you, and I will help you find and cultivate those seeds, enabling you to become a compassionate advocate for your ongoing growth and freedom.

I am trained in several evidence-based approaches that incorporate theoretical principles shown to produce lasting change in anxiety, depression, and self-defeating character patterns. These approaches are affect- and somatic-based, accelerated, experiential, and psychodynamic. I track moment-to-moment subtle shifts in your body, using those signals to guide us toward important inner information you may have been avoiding. My work helps people transform anxiety to confidence, apathy to aliveness, and frustration to freedom.

I have worked with individuals and groups helping people reconnect to their health and inner resources, resolving defensive patterns of anxiety, depression, lack of intimacy, low self worth, loneliness, trauma, panic, perfectionism, stuckness and chronic worry. Integrating an understanding of developmental psychology, attachment research, neurobiology, mindfulness and the profound hunger for reaching our human potential, I invite you to come home to the body with compassion, to experience the vulnerable discomfort of being human, and grow.

Creator of the Key to Growth public workshops and the 10 week Breath Of Courage Program for anxiety and panic, I have facilitated numerous groups and garnered national and local radio and newspaper coverage for my work. I have been consulted for TV interviews and magazine articles on anxiety and stress, have been published in academic journals, and have done training workshops for psychologists and counselors on effective treatment for panic and anxiety.

“Everything you do to not feel robs you of energy, leaving you shrunken, in a space too small for the miracle of who you are.”
