Registered Psychologist Dr. Sandra Parker invites you to embrace vulnerability and live your most authentic and powerful life. Helping people dissolve barriers to experiencing their fullest lives, Sandra has worked with individuals and groups for over 20 years. She helps people reconnect to their health and inner resources, resolving defensive patterns of stuckness, lack of intimacy, low self worth, loneliness, depression, anxiety, trauma, panic, perfectionism and chronic worry .
Sandra’s warmth and humor, her ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concrete way, and her faith in our fundamentally self righting nature are inspirational. “We are heliotropes: we grow toward the light” she says. "There is a positive growth force in each one of us, reaching for our biggest life."
Sandra shows how it is both possible and worthwhile to approach ourselves in the rich mixture of who we are, deepening our capacity to feel and deal. Integrating an understanding of developmental psychology, neurobiology, mindfulness and the profound hunger for reaching our human potential, Sandra invites us to come home to the body, to have and to hold ourselves with compassion in the discomfort of being human, and grow.
Creator of the 10 week Breath Of Courage Program for anxiety and panic, Dr. Parker has facilitated numerous groups and garnered national and local radio and newspaper coverage for that work. She has been consulted for TV interviews and magazine articles on anxiety and stress, has been published in academic journals, and has done training workshops for psychologists and counselors on effective treatment for panic and anxiety.
She lives by the ocean in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.
